Framers Protest: Punjab-Haryana High Court Adjourned Till Feb 20

Amid the ongoing legal battle between the farmers and the central government, the state government of Haryana filed an affidavit in the Punjab Haryana High Court, stating that the actions of the farmers’ unions, aimed at disrupting the National Highways.

It stated that the farmer unions called for the “Delhi Chalo” March without providing any permission or information from the Haryana state authorities. However, leaders of farmer unions have called for maximum participation from the general public in “Delhi Chalo March”.

However, the affidavit was submitted to the division bench, which consisted of Acting Chief Justice GS Sandhawalia and Justice Vikas Suri.

Amid the the clashes of agitators, there are inputs that thousands would go in modified tractors/trolleys. Meanwhile the protest is claimed to be planned which has anyway disrupted the movement of citizens goods and essential services in NCR, affecting daily life and freedom of movement.

The police officials are on the grounds to stop them at the borders and cause less harm. Hearing in the Punjab-Haryana High Court will continue on Tuesday also the court has also asked Punjab, Haryana and Central governments to file new status reports by Tuesday. Hence the next hearing is scheduled for February 20.
