A fire erupted in the Karimnagar area of Telangana on Tuesday, resulting in the damage of approximately 20 huts, according to a fire service official.
The blaze, which was reported around 10:50 am, also caused the explosion of 4-5 gas cylinders, as stated by Karimnagar District Fire Officer T Venkanna. However, the fire tenders managed to successfully extinguish the flames.
“We received a fire call around 10:50 am. Our fire brigade promptly responded and contained the fire. Municipal water tankers were also summoned for assistance. Approximately 20 huts were destroyed in the fire, and 4-5 gas cylinders exploded,” Venkanna reported.
He added, “Fortunately, there have been no reported casualties thus far.”
Further details regarding the incident are currently awaited.
In a separate incident, three individuals sustained injuries following an explosion in Kondurg village in Telangana’s Rangareddy district on Monday.
According to Krishna, Sub Inspector at Kondurg Police Station, “An explosion occurred at the Scan Energy Iron company’s iron melting furnace no. 4 in Kondurg, Rangareddy District. Three individuals were injured and have been transported to Shivram Nagar Hospital in Shadnagar for treatment.”
The official mentioned that fire tenders were dispatched to the scene and successfully extinguished the fire. Additionally, he stated that a case would be registered regarding the incident.
