External Affairs Minister (EAM) S Jaishankar reiterated India’s multifaceted partnerships during a session at the Raisina Dialogue 2024, underscoring the country’s engagements both at the individual country level and with the European Union (EU) as a whole.
Addressing the audience, Jaishankar emphasized India’s practical partnerships with individual nations alongside its broader engagement with the EU. He highlighted ongoing discussions with the EU on enhancing self-reliance in renewable technologies, citing collaborative efforts with Germany as an example of successful cooperation in solar energy infrastructure development.
Jaishankar underscored the importance of transparency and straightforwardness in diplomatic engagements, rejecting the notion of diplomatic equivocation. He emphasized the effectiveness of a candid approach, asserting that it fosters credibility and facilitates meaningful dialogue among nations.
In a testament to India’s active diplomatic outreach, Jaishankar held discussions with counterparts from the Czech Republic, Romania, and Bhutan on the sidelines of the Raisina Dialogue. The meetings aimed at exploring avenues for bilateral cooperation, with the Czech Republic and Romania focusing on enhancing ties with India across various sectors.
The Raisina Dialogue, jointly organized by the Ministry of External Affairs and the Observer Research Foundation, serves as a platform for global leaders to engage in strategic discussions on pressing international issues, further fostering diplomatic ties and cooperation among nations.
