Tragedy struck in Andhra Pradesh’s Kakinada district on Monday morning as a bus collided with a stationary truck, resulting in the loss of four lives, according to authorities.
The accident took place on the national highway near Padalemma temple in Prattipadu mandal. Reports from the police indicate that the incident unfolded when a truck traveling from Annavaram to Rajamahendravaram suffered a punctured tire, forcing it to halt on the roadside for repairs.
In a devastating turn of events, a bus bound from Visakha to Rajamahendravaram crashed into the truck, fatally injuring the three crew members who were attending to the vehicle. Additionally, another individual traveling in the opposite direction on the same route became a victim of the collision. Tragically, all four individuals involved in the accident lost their lives on the spot.
Prathipadu Sub Inspector Pawan Kumar, who swiftly responded to the scene, provided preliminary details, confirming that a case has been registered. An investigation is currently underway to ascertain the circumstances leading to this heartbreaking incident.
