Pankaj Udhas, 72, a globally recognized Ghazal maestro and recipient of the Padamshri award, departed from this life on Monday. “With a very heavy heart, we are saddened to inform you of the sad demise of Padmashri Pankaj Udhas on 26th February 2024 due to a prolonged illness,” wrote Nayaab, Pankaj Udhas’ daughter, in a statement posted to Instagram. The renowned singer died following a protracted illness. As soon as Nayaab announced the singer’s passing, a plethora of condolences were left by his fans in the comment section.
