Union Defence Minister and BJP leader Rajnath Singh addressed a crucial meeting of over 100 core group members in Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh, imparting the victory “Mantra” as the Lok Sabha and Andhra Pradesh assembly elections draw near, according to sources.
Given the BJP’s aspirations in the southern states, Rajnath Singh focused on guiding party workers on effectively communicating the welfare schemes implemented by the central government to the public. In preparation for the upcoming polls, Singh emphasized the need to inform the electorate about the initiatives undertaken by the Narendra Modi-led government over the past ten years, particularly highlighting measures for farmers.
Sources revealed that Singh instructed BJP workers to convey to the public the alleged betrayals by the ruling YSR Congress party. In a strategic move, the BJP and the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) are reportedly considering joining forces ahead of the Lok Sabha polls.
Rajnath Singh, on a one-day visit to Andhra Pradesh, initiated a cluster meeting in Visakhapatnam, engaging with intellectuals to highlight BJP achievements and counter opposition claims. Following this, Singh addressed BJP workers in Vijayawada and is scheduled to attend a workers’ conference in Eluru.
As the Prime Minister seeks a third term, the BJP has adopted the slogan “Abki baar, 400 Paar.” The Lok Sabha polls and the Andhra Pradesh polls are anticipated to be held concurrently in April-May this year. Rajnath Singh’s proactive engagement with party workers underscores the BJP’s determination to secure a significant presence in the southern states.
