During an event in Karnataka on Wednesday, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar will pay tribute to Acharya Lokesh Muni, the esteemed founder of Ahimsa Vishwa Bharti and the World Peace Center, by conferring upon him the title of ‘Global Jain Peace Ambassador’. The ceremony will be hosted by the Jain pilgrimage site, Navagraha Tirtha Kshetra, located in Hubli Varur, Karnataka, today. This prestigious recognition is a testament to Acharya Lokeshji’s commendable endeavors in promoting peace and harmony worldwide, as well as his significant contributions to elevating India and Jainism on the global stage. The event will witness the presence of Digambar Jain, and Acharya Gunadharnandiji, the visionary behind the AGM Group of Institutions. Additionally, Union Minister Pralhad Joshi, former Karnataka Chief Minister Basavraj Bommai, and Vice-Chancellor S Vidyashankar will grace the occasion. As part of the program, the foundation stone for Padmavati Mata Shaktipeeth will be laid, alongside the inauguration of the new administrative block of AGM Rural College and the new block of AGM Ayurvedic College and Hospital. In a statement, it was highlighted that this significant gathering underscores the dedication of Digambar Acharya Gunadharanandi and Navagraha Tirtha towards promoting spiritual heritage, education, and healthcare services both domestically and internationally.
