Commencing Tomorrow: Dehradun to Ayodhya, Varanasi, Amritsar Flight Operations

Chief Minister Dhami thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia for considering all the three services. According to the chief minister's office, the first flight from Dehradun to Ayodhya will depart at 9.40 am and arrive at 11.30 am. The flight will then depart from Ayodhya at 12.15 pm and arrive in Dehradun at 1.55 pm.

Commencing Tomorrow: Dehradun to Ayodhya, Varanasi, Amritsar Flight Operations

Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Tuesday announced that the central government has approved flights from Dehradun to three major cities in the country – Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh, Varanasi and flights operated from Amritsar in Punjab. CM Dhami also announced that the three services will start on Wednesday, March 6.

Chief Minister Dhami thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia for considering all the three services. According to the chief minister’s office, the first flight from Dehradun to Ayodhya will depart at 9.40 am and arrive at 11.30 am. The flight will then depart from Ayodhya at 12.15 pm and arrive in Dehradun at 1.55 pm.

Another flight is scheduled to leave Amritsar at noon and reach Dehradun at 13:10. Similarly, the flight from Dehradun to Amritsar will depart at 13.35 and arrive at 14.45.

Also, flight service to Varanasi via Pantnagar will start from March 6. The passenger flight will depart from Dehradun to Pantnagar at 9:50 am and will arrive in Pantnagarh at 10:35 am. Then the flight will take off from Pantnagar to Varanasi at 11:15 and will reach Varanasi at 13:00. The ship has sailed from Varanasi port to Pantnagar and is expected to arrive at 18:40 on February 1. Finally, the flight from Pantnagar to Dehradun will depart at 15.50 and arrive at 16.35.

The Prime Ministry noted that Dhami has been working for a long time to establish air service to all three destinations. The CM made a personal request and wrote to Union Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia ahead of the Pran Pratishtah ceremony at Ram Lalla in Ayodhya.

Dehradun Airport is currently India’s main airport for flights only. Instead, on December 30 last year, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi named Ayodhya’s first airport Maharishi Valmiki International Airport.
