Israel: One Indian Man Killed, Two Others Injured In Hezbollah Rocket Attack

The Israeli embassy in India confirmed on Tuesday that a terror attack by Hezbollah along the border with Lebanon in Northern Israel on Monday resulted in the death of one Indian national and injuries to two others. The deceased, identified as 31-year-old Nibin Maxwell, hailed from the Kollam district in Kerala. The other two injured individuals are also reported to be from Kerala. Nibin Maxwell had been working on a farm in Israel for the past two months.

Expressing deep shock and sadness, the Israeli embassy condemned the attack, describing it as a cowardly act by the Shia terror organization Hezbollah. They extended their condolences to the families of the deceased and injured, affirming their commitment to providing support and assistance. Israeli medical facilities are treating the injured individuals with the utmost care.

Meanwhile, the Times of Israel reported that Hezbollah launched a barrage of rockets at northern Israel on Monday night, causing damage and power outages in several towns. The Israeli military retaliated by striking targets in Lebanon. The Israel Defence Forces confirmed at least 10 rockets fired from Lebanon towards the Western Galilee, with some intercepted by the Iron Dome air defence system.

In Gaza, fighting between Israeli Defence Forces and Islamic Jihad militants persisted, with IDF claiming to have neutralized 15 terrorists who launched rockets towards civilian areas. The IDF employed various tactics, including sniper, tank, and aerial fire, to eliminate the threats posed by the militants operating within civilian zones in Western Khan Yunis.
