Ahead of its anticipated launch, Nothing Phone 2a’s pricing for the Indian market has been disclosed, along with the announcement of an exclusive flash sale scheduled to commence on March 6. The smartphone, powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 7200 Pro SoC, is slated for release in India on March 5, with the company having already unveiled key design elements and processor specifications.
In a promotional video shared by Nothing India on social media, Carl Pei, the CEO of Nothing, engages with residents of Mumbai, showcasing the upcoming Nothing Phone 2a and discussing their expectations from a smartphone. Towards the conclusion of the video, Pei unveils the anticipated price tag of approximately Rs. 25,000 for the Indian market. Additionally, Pei reaffirms that the Phone 2a units sold in India will be locally manufactured.
The company has also revealed plans for the #THE100 Drops flash sale, an exclusive event offering the Phone 2a bundled with custom accessories in select cities worldwide. Limited to 100 units per location, the flash sale will commence on March 6 in Delhi, followed by Hyderabad, Bengaluru, and Mumbai on subsequent days. Other global cities including Dubai, London, Paris, Berlin, Barcelona, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, and Bangkok will also host flash sales.
Specifications of the Nothing Phone 2a include a MediaTek Dimensity 7200 Pro SoC, a dual rear camera setup featuring two 50-megapixel sensors, and a 32-megapixel front camera. The device is expected to boast 12GB of RAM with an additional 8GB of virtual RAM and will run on the Android 14-based NothingOS 2.5. Furthermore, it is rumored to sport a 6.7-inch 120Hz full-HD+ OLED display and a 5,000mAh battery supporting 45W wired fast charging. In addition to the previously teased white variant, the Phone 2a is speculated to be available in black.
