Zomato revealed that its female delivery partners will now be given the choice to wear kurtas instead of the usual Zomato t-shirts as part of their uniforms.

This initiative follows feedback from several female employees who voiced their discomfort with the western-style Zomato t-shirts. Through a post on LinkedIn accompanied by a video, Zomato announced, “Starting today, Zomato women delivery partners can opt for wearing a kurta.”

The video showcased multiple Zomato delivery women trying out the newly provided kurtas and engaging in what seemed to be a joyous photoshoot. It captured their expressions of appreciation and satisfaction towards the company’s considerate action.

Zomato highlighted, “Several female delivery partners conveyed their discomfort with the western-style Zomato t-shirts. Therefore, we offered them an alternative.”

Upon donning the kurta, one of the content women remarked, “It even has pockets!”

The video has received thousands of likes and positive feedback from users across social media platforms. Many individuals expressed gratitude for the company’s “considerate” initiative.
