On Saturday, Tripura Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha participated in the 54th Annual Conference of the Indian Medical Association (IMA), Tripura State Branch (TSB). The two-day conference, taking place at the IMA House on Jagannath Bari Road in Agartala, will conclude on Sunday.

During his speech at the event, Chief Minister Manik Saha likened the IMA to a seed, emphasizing its growth into various small associations, with IMA being the oldest and primary association in the field of medical science. He acknowledged the recent passing of Dr. Kishlay Choudhury, a longstanding member of the association.

CM Saha highlighted the crucial role that the IMA has played in enhancing health and medical facilities in Tripura, emphasizing the pivotal role of doctors in constructing a healthy society. He noted the challenges doctors face and stressed the importance of public awareness in this regard.

Under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, CM Saha mentioned that the government has been actively taking steps to elevate healthcare standards at every level. He also mentioned ongoing efforts to strengthen infrastructure in district hospitals.

The event was attended by Gitte Kirankumar Dinkarrao, IAS (Tripura Health Secretary), State Secretary of IMA Tripura, Dr. Supriyo Mallik (Director of Health Service, Government of Tripura), among others.
