PM Modi In Azamgarh: Launching Projects Shouldn’t Be Politicized

Prime Minister Narendra Modi emphasized that the development projects initiated by his government across the country should be viewed independently of election considerations. Speaking at a public gathering in Azamgarh, he addressed the criticism that the foundation stones laid in 2019 were election-centric, asserting that all projects initiated during that time have been successfully completed and dedicated to the nation.

The Prime Minister urged against interpreting the launch of projects through an electoral lens as he is focused on transforming India into a developed nation by 2047.

Criticizing previous governments, PM Modi accused them of making deceptive announcements during election seasons, only to disappear once the polls concluded. He highlighted the contrast by underlining that projects inaugurated during his tenure have seen actual implementation, debunking the trend of unfulfilled promises from the past.

During his visit to Azamgarh, PM Modi inaugurated, virtually launched, and laid the foundation stones for various development projects. These include 12 new terminal buildings at airports across Pune, Kolhapur, Gwalior, Jabalpur, Delhi, Lucknow, Aligarh, Azamgarh, Chitrakoot, Moradabad, Shravasti, and Adampur. Additionally, foundation stones were laid for new terminal buildings at Kadapa, Hubballi, and Belagavi airports.

The Airports Authority of India (AAI) has been active in operationalizing state-of-the-art integrated terminal buildings at Chennai, Port Blair, Surat, and Tiruchirappalli Airports in the fiscal year 2023-24. The newly inaugurated terminal buildings at Kanpur Airport, Rajkot International Airport, Tezu Airport, and Maharishi Valmiki International Airport in Ayodhya Dham aim to enhance passenger amenities and contribute to the local economy.

Furthermore, PM Modi launched the Light House Project (LHP) in Lucknow and Ranchi, introducing innovative construction technology to provide modern and sustainable living experiences. The Prime Minister also dedicated and laid the foundation stone for several road projects in Uttar Pradesh, aiming to improve connectivity and socioeconomic development.

The road projects include the Lucknow Ring Road, Chakeri to Allahabad Section of NH-2, western side spur of Rampur-Rudrapur, Kanpur Ring Road, and Raebareli-Prayagraj section of NH-24B and NH-30. Additionally, PM Modi dedicated 744 rural road projects under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana, enhancing connectivity in approximately 59 districts.

The Prime Minister also focused on strengthening rail infrastructure in Uttar Pradesh, inaugurating multiple rail projects worth around Rs 8200 crore. These projects include the doubling and electrification of key rail sections, the Bhatni-Peokol bypass line, and the gauge conversion of the Bahraich-Nanpara-Nepalganj Road rail section.

In Prayagraj, Jaunpur, and Etawah, PM Modi inaugurated sewage treatment plants and various other projects. The cumulative impact of these initiatives is expected to boost development, connectivity, and the overall well-being of the regions involved.
