Fuel Station Operators In Rajasthan To Commence Two-Day Strike On Sunday

Fuel pump stations in Rajasthan are set to close for a two-day strike starting from Sunday. The state petroleum dealers association has organized the strike to protest the non-reduction of value-added tax (VAT) on petrol and diesel.

The symbolic strike is scheduled to commence at 6:00 am on March 10 and will conclude at 6:00 am on March 12, as announced by the Rajasthan Petroleum Dealers Association. The association’s president, Rajendra Singh Bhati, highlighted the failure of the Rajasthan government to reduce VAT on petrol and diesel, despite assurances from Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Additionally, Bhati mentioned that oil companies have not increased dealer commissions for the past seven months.

In response to these grievances, a strike has been called by the association. During this period, petroleum dealers in Rajasthan will abstain from both purchasing and selling fuel. Furthermore, a demonstration is planned in the city on Monday as part of the protest activities, according to the association’s announcement.
