Kareena Kapoor is rumoured to be joining Kannada star Yash in his upcoming film “Toxic.” Yash had unveiled the title of his new film in December last year, although details about it remain scarce. New reports suggest that Kareena will be taking on the lead role in the movie, marking her debut in Kannada cinema.
Recently, Kareena hinted at the possibility of these rumours being true during a fan interaction, expressing excitement about potentially delving into the South Indian film industry. She said, “Now, like I said, I might be doing a very big South film. Now it’s like, all pan-India so I don’t know where I’ll be shooting, but I’m excited for all my fans to know that it’s going to be the first time that I will be doing this.”
Regarding “Toxic,” it will be Yash’s 19th film. Alongside revealing the title late last year, Yash also shared a teaser video providing a glimpse into his character. The video showcases various anti-heroes, including the iconic Joker from DC Comics, with each image engulfed in flames, gradually revealing Yash’s appearance in the movie. In the clip, Yash is seen with a pot-belly, a vintage hat, and a machine gun, exuding a menacing aura with a cigar in hand and the gun casually resting on his shoulder. The film’s tagline, “A fairytale for grown-ups,” further adds to the intrigue.
So I think Kareena’s film with Yash is confirmed! She said this on a zoom meeting with her fans yesterday.
