Bollywood icon Amitabh Bachchan refuted rumours of poor health, labelling them as “fake news” and putting an end to speculations about his hospitalization. Social media platforms were abuzz earlier in the day with concerned fans seeking updates on Bachchan’s well-being following multiple reports claiming that the actor had undergone an angioplasty procedure either for a leg clot or a blocked artery.
Later in the evening, Bachchan and his son Abhishek were spotted at the Dadoji Kondadev Stadium in Thane attending the final match of the Indian Street Premier League (ISPL) between Majhi Mumbai and Tiigers of Kolkata, contradicting the earlier reports of his hospital visit.

In a circulating video on social media, Bachchan can be seen leaving the stadium when someone from the crowd inquires about his health. Initially, the actor gestures that everything is fine, but when directly asked, he responds, “Fake news.”
Reports had emerged earlier in the afternoon on March 15 with some suggesting Bachchan’s visit to Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital for a routine check-up. Other reports claimed he was hospitalized for an angioplasty procedure, either to address a blockage in his leg or a blocked artery. However, neither the hospital nor Bachchan’s office provided confirmation for much of the day.
