AAP leader and Rajya Sabha member Raghav Chadha criticized the arrest of AAP convenor Arvind Kejriwal, highlighting Kejriwal’s contributions to Delhi’s development, including providing free electricity, education, healthcare, and transportation services.
Chadha stated that the arrest of Kejriwal, who was taken into custody by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in connection with the Delhi excise policy case, was part of a conspiracy. The case involves alleged irregularities and money laundering related to the implementation of the 2022 Delhi excise policy, which was subsequently scrapped.
केजरीवाल सिर्फ़ एक व्यक्ति का नहीं, बल्कि एक सोच का नाम है।

In a video message posted on X platform, Chadha expressed solidarity with Kejriwal, stating, “The love and blessings of 135 crore Indians are with Arvind Kejriwal ji.”
Delhi Minister and AAP leader Gopal Rai announced nationwide protests against Kejriwal’s arrest, denouncing it as illegal and an attempt to silence opposition voices. INDIA bloc parties supported Kejriwal and criticized the BJP for using ED as a political tool.
Opposition leader Sharad Pawar condemned Kejriwal’s arrest, calling it unconstitutional and highlighting the unity of the INDIA bloc against such actions.
The arrest of Kejriwal follows previous arrests in the same case, including that of Bharat Rashta Samithi (BRS) leader and daughter of former Telangana chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao. Two senior AAP leaders, Manish Sisodia and Sanjay Singh, are also in judicial custody in connection with the excise policy case.
The AAP’s planned protests at the BJP headquarters signify growing tensions between political parties over what AAP leaders perceive as targeted actions to weaken the opposition.
