Speaking during his visit to Singapore as part of a three-nation tour, Jaishankar highlighted India’s progress in improving ease of living and ease of doing business, as well as its focus on infrastructure development through initiatives like PM Gati Shakti.

Jaishankar noted India’s rapid pace of development, citing the construction of new airports, expansion of highways, and the establishment of educational institutions. He also reflected on India’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic, including its role as a major vaccine producer and its efforts in global outreach through vaccine distribution.

Addressing the global community’s shared experience during the pandemic, Jaishankar emphasized the interconnectedness of nations and the lessons learned about the importance of global cooperation and preparedness. He underscored the impact of the pandemic on daily life and highlighted the significance of foreign policy in addressing such global challenges.

Jaishankar’s visit to Singapore, Philippines, and Malaysia aims to strengthen bilateral relations and address regional issues of mutual concern, as stated by the Ministry of External Affairs.
