Ahead of the ensuing Lok Sabha Elections 2024, JD(U) has released its candidate list for all 16 seats in Bihar. JD(U) led by Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has dropped its two sitting MPs and fielded two turncoats.
Sunil Kumar is going to contest from Valmikinagar, Santosh Kumar from Purnia, Dr. Alok Kumar Suman from Gopalganj, Ajay Mandal from Bhagalpur, Kaushalendra Kumar will contest from Nalanda, Chandeshwar Chandravansi from Jehanabad, Lalan Singh from Munger, Girdhari Yadav from Banka.
Dinesh Chandra Yadav from Madhepura, Rampreet Mandal from Jhanjharpur, Dulalchand Goswami from Katihar, Dineshchandra Yadav from Madhepura, Dileshwar Kamat from Supaul.
The four new candidates to be contesting in the 2024 Lok Sabha Elections are Lovely Anand to contest elections from Sheohar, Devesh Chandra Thakur from Sitamarhi, Raj Vijayalakshmi Kushwaha to contest elections from Siwan, and Mujahid Alam from Kishanganj.
The announcement was made by the party’s national vice president, Vashishth Narayan Singh, along with several other senior JD(U) leaders.
As part of the changes, sitting MPs were replaced in the Sitamarhi and Siwan constituencies. Devesh Chandra Thakur, the chairman of the legislative council, will represent JD(U) in Sitamarhi, while Vijay Laxmi Kushwaha received the ticket for Siwan after joining the party with her husband, Ramesh Singh Kushwaha, the former state president of Rashtriya Lok Morcha, an ally of the NDA. Another notable addition to the candidate list is Lovely Anand, who recently switched from the RJD to JD(U). Anand will contest in the upcoming elections from the Sheohar constituency.
