“I am the spider of Guna-Shivpuri,” says Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia

Jyotiraditya Scindia, BJP's nominee for the Lok Sabha elections from Madhya Pradesh's Guna constituency, asserted his commitment to progress by likening himself to a 'spider' spinning a web of development through extensive infrastructure initiatives.

“I am the spider of Guna-Shivpuri,” says Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia

Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia, who is contesting the Lok Sabha elections from Madhya Pradesh’s Guna constituency on behalf of the BJP, declared himself as the driving force behind the development in the region, likening himself to a spider spinning a web of progress.

Addressing a gathering of the Rawat community in Guna’s Shivpuri, Scindia emphasized the pivotal role of grassroots development and urged constituents to bolster BJP’s support by ensuring an additional 370 votes per booth compared to the 2019 Lok Sabha polls, aiming for the re-election of Narendra Modi as Prime Minister.

“Twenty years ago, when I pledged myself to the path of service, I made a solemn vow that if no one else would address your concerns, Jyotiraditya Scindia would step forward… I am the architect of progress in Shivpuri. I’ve woven a network of roads, substations, irrigation facilities, and overall development for the people here,” he affirmed.

Highlighting the significance of amplifying BJP’s electoral mandate, Scindia underscored the transformative initiatives spearheaded by PM Modi’s leadership, including comprehensive welfare schemes for farmers, women, youth, and the underprivileged, such as free rations for 80 crore citizens and the Ayushman Bharat healthcare program.

“Under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s stewardship, the nation is marching towards unprecedented milestones. The visionary goal of ‘abki baar 400 paar’ has been set, symbolizing our collective aspirations for a stronger India. The historic abrogation of Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir echoes the enduring legacy of Dr. Syama Prasad Mukherjee’s relentless pursuit of unity and integration. PM Modi’s roadmap envisions India as a developed nation by 2047,” he elaborated.

In the electoral arena, Scindia faces off against former BJP stalwart Rao Yadvendra Singh Yadav, nominated by the Congress. The 2019 Lok Sabha elections witnessed Scindia’s defeat to K P Yadav, sparking a political upheaval culminating in his departure from the Congress in 2020, accompanied by 22 MLAs, precipitating the collapse of the Congress government in Madhya Pradesh. Subsequently, Scindia was inducted into Parliament via the Rajya Sabha and appointed as a Union minister by the BJP.

As the electoral fervor intensifies, Scindia has hit the campaign trail early, engaging with diverse communities and rallying support ahead of the May 7 polling day in Guna. While the BJP has unveiled its slate of candidates for all 29 constituencies in the state, the Congress is yet to finalize its nominations for Gwalior, Khandwa, and Morena seats.
