According to Meteorological Department officials, several higher areas of Gulmarg and Pahalgam in Jammu and Kashmir experienced fresh snowfall, while the plains of the valley encountered rainfall on Saturday.
During the night, the elevated regions of Kashmir, including the renowned ski resort of Gulmarg in Baramulla district, received new snowfall.
Pahalgam, the tourist destination in Anantnag district, recorded approximately three inches of fresh snowfall. Additionally, some other areas such as Gurez in Bandipora district also witnessed fresh snowfall. Fresh snowfall was reported in Drass town along the Srinagar-Leh Highway in Ladakh Union Territory.

Meanwhile, rainfall persisted in the plains of the Kashmir valley, including the summer capital Srinagar, continuing into the morning.
The Meteorological Department forecasted partly to generally cloudy weather with light to moderate rain or snowfall in most places, with heavy precipitation expected at isolated locations during the night.
Intermittent light rain or snowfall is expected at a few places on Sunday, followed by dry weather until April 5.
