Bharatiya Janata Party National spokesperson Gaurav Bhatia on Friday accused Aam Aadmi Party leader Sanjay Singh of violating bail conditions set by the Supreme Court, stating that Singh is “digging his own political grave.”
Bhatia highlighted that the Supreme Court, while granting bail to Singh, had imposed conditions, including refraining from making public remarks on the excise policy case.
Speaking at a press conference, Bhatia stated, “Sanjay Singh, the accused, is starting a new black tradition. He has not been acquitted, and neither has the court discharged him. He has only been granted bail. He is still accused, just like Arvind Kejriwal and Manish Sisodia. Sanjay Singh is openly making remarks in the interviews on the matter in which he was involved. He has started giving clean chit to Kejriwal and Sisodia. He is clearly violating the provisions of his bail order given by the Supreme Court.”
The BJP spokesperson further criticized senior AAP leaders, accusing them of disrespecting the Constitution.
“They are blatantly dishonest. AAP leaders don’t respect the Constitution, now they are insulting the Supreme Court. It is in their DNA. Sanjay Singh is digging his own political grave along with Kejriwal and Sisodia,” he added.
Earlier in the day, Sanjay Singh, a Rajya Sabha MP from AAP, alleged that the liquor scam was a conspiracy by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) to imprison Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, implicating top BJP leaders in the conspiracy.
Kejriwal, who was arrested on March 21 in connection with the excise policy case, had his judicial custody extended until April 15.
The Enforcement Directorate (ED) alleged that AAP was the major beneficiary of the proceeds of crime generated in the alleged liquor scam, claiming Kejriwal’s direct involvement in forming the excise policy.
