Rohit Sharma Breaks Multiple Records In A Single Innings Against Australia
Rohit Sharma became the all-time leading scorer in Men’s T20 Internationals, surpassing Babar Azam with a total of 4165 runs for India.
Sharma’s half-century came off just 19 balls, marking the fastest fifty of his T20 career and the fastest by any batter against Australia in a T20I, beating Yuvraj Singh’s 20-ball record from 2007.
Rohit’s eight sixes in his innings are the most by an Indian batter in a T20 World Cup match and the highest by any player against Australia in T20Is.
Sharma also became the first player globally to hit over 200 sixes in T20 Internationals, with a career tally of 203.
Rohit’s aggressive play included scoring 29 runs off a single over from Mitchell Starc, marking the most expensive over of Starc's international career.
