Sakshi Malik has moved from wrestling to broadcasting, but her new role hasn’t been smooth. The recently retired wrestler has been in the news for various reasons. Previously, she led the wrestlers’ protest against the Wrestling Federation of India, and now she is making headlines for a mistake during her debut as a broadcaster.

While discussing Indian athletes during the Paris Olympics opening ceremony, Sakshi stated that the Indian women’s hockey team would improve their performance from the 2021 Tokyo Games, where they finished 4th. However, the team, led by Salima Tete, hasn’t qualified for the Paris event.

Sakshi Malik Predicts India’s Medal Tally

When asked about India’s potential medal tally at the Paris Olympics, Sakshi predicted that wrestlers and shooters would win around 3-4 medals. She also expressed optimism that both the men’s and women’s hockey teams would win medals.
