Creator duo Raj and DK have embarked on a new OTT project titled ‘Rakt Bramhand – The Bloody Kingdom’. Directed by Rahi Anil Barve, known for ‘Tumbbad’, the series has commenced filming. Netflix revealed the project with a captivating first poster on its Instagram account.
“We’ve got BIGGGGGG news that’ll stir your blood! We’re pumped to announce our first ever action-fantasy series,” said the accompanying caption.
The announcement poster showcased a crown dripping with blood, hinting at a dramatic and intense storyline. This project marks Raj and DK’s second collaboration with the OTT platform, following ‘Guns and Gulaabs‘, which starred Rajkummar Rao, Dulquer Salmaan, and Adarsh Gourav.

The series is expected to deliver a gripping and edgy story set in a fantastical realm, featuring intense action and impressive visuals. Raj and DK mentioned that exploring this uncharted territory adds to the excitement for them.
“Our goal is to develop a fictional world that is both original and reminiscent of the fantastical tales we have heard in our childhood. We are having an amazing time working with the very talented Rahi and our uber-versatile partner Sita to bring this unique vision to life.”
Monika Shergill, Vice President of Content at Netflix India, stated that ‘Rakt Bramhand – The Bloody Kingdom’ will be their first major action-fantasy series “and is set to redefine the genre by combining grand-scale action with a thrilling storyline..”
Filming has begun, and the official cast announcement is anticipated soon.
