On Monday, Taiwan’s National Defence Ministry witnessed an increase in the activities of China’s People’s Liberation Army (PLA) near the Taiwan Strait.
Around 16 Chinese aircraft, 14 People’s Liberation Army Navy (PLAN) vessels & one ship were spotted, at local time of 6 am.
As per the ministry, around 13 PLA aircraft crossed the median line by entering Taiwan’s northern, central, southwestern, and eastern Air Defence Identification Zone (ADIZ).
18 PLA aircraft and 14 PLAN vessels operating around Taiwan were detected up until 6 a.m. (UTC+8) today. 13 of the aircraft crossed the median line and entered Taiwan’s northern, central, southwestern and eastern ADIZ. However, the ministry not provide details over types of aircraft or vessels involved in this incursion. Currently, Taiwan is monitoring the situation and have responded accordingly.

Yesterday on July 28, Taiwan’s ministry of National Defence had earlier spotted 9 PLAN vessels around their country.
These incidents reflect the heightened tensions which exists between Taiwan and China with beijing continue to assert sovereignty over the island nation.
