Following India’s T20 3-0 win series against Sri Lanka at Pallekele, coach Gautam Gambhir gives a speech in the dressing room to the Suryakumar Yadav-led team. In the speech, he praised the team, especially the captain.

In a video shared by BCCI, Gambhir said ‘Outstanding captaincy and more important as well because I asked for something before the start of the game and you actually delivered it. This is what happens when you keep fighting. You don’t give up.’

Furthermore, the Indian captain also highlighted the importance of important qualities like resilience and making improvements constantly. Afterward, he also asked the team to judge the situations quickly and accordingly adjust to varying circumstances.

But he also advised the players to utilize the break wisely and emphasised the fact, that they should maintain their fitness and skills.

India Vs Sri Lanka Match Highlight

Meanwhile, India cricket team or commonly called Men In Blue has recently won 3 series match against Sri Lanka in T20 format at Pallekele, as India successfully defended its low target of 138.

In this match, T20 series captain Suryakumar Yadav and Rinku Singh played a crucial role in taking India towards its victory with both bat & ball.

But the match reached a tricky stage, as the host Sri Lanka were playing exceptionally well, while completing the target of 138 and in 15.1 overs, they made a score of 110 with 1 out.

Due to contributions of Kusal Mendis (43) and Pathum Nissanka (26), the team in the match was enjoying a stable position. However, a mini collapsed happened as hosts in 4.5 overs lost 7 wickets at 27 runs. Thus, the match was tied at 137 for 8.

Thus, began the start of Super over. In Superover, Indian player Washington Sundar performed very well at a crucial moment, as he snapped two wickets and leaked mere two runs.

Rinku Singh also played a crucial role in the superover as he too snapped two wickets, that too important ones, like Kusal Perera, who was a top scorer with 46.

Despite, Khaleel Ahmed giving 6 wides, Captain Suryakumar Yadav managed to take the game in India’s favour by hitting a first-ball sweep shot at superover. Thus, winning the match against the hosts.
