Delhi was hit hard by heavy rain on Wednesday evening, setting a new record for the most rainfall in a single day in 14 years. The rain caused widespread flooding across the city, severely disrupting traffic and leaving many people stranded for hours. The rain led to 10 fatalities, with five in Delhi, three in Gurugram, and two in Greater Noida.

Due to the intense rainfall, 10 flights scheduled to land at Delhi airport were diverted. Eight of these flights went to Jaipur, while two were redirected to Lucknow. IndiGo has reported ongoing disruptions to flight operations.

In Gurugram, three people died from electrocution after coming into contact with a high-tension wire following heavy rain. In Greater Noida, two people lost their lives when a wall collapsed in the Dadri area.
