Weather department IMD has predicted a moderate rainfall for Delhi & Himachal Pradesh on Thursday. Very heavy rain has been forecasted for parts of Uttarakhand.
Keeping the possibility of very heavy rainfall in view, an orange alert has been issued for parts of Rajasthan and Uttarakhand.
On Wednesday, Delhi has recorded 100mm of rainfall within an hour. As a result, various of the city continue to be waterlogged following heavy downpour.
As per the weather agency, rainy conditions are expected to persist until August 5. Keeping the weather situation into account, IMD has forecasted minor traffic jam on Delhi roads.

In addition, IMD has also predicted waterlogging in low-lying areas and on roads. Meanwhile, six people including two children have lost their lives in rain-related incidents. These casualties were caused due to electrocution, waterlogging, and building collapse.
Three have also been injured due to heavy downpour at National capital. Issuing an advisory, India Meteorological Department has asked people to remain indoors, secure their windows & doors, and avoid non-essential travel.
Weather Update For Other Places
Further, IMD has issued orange alert for Himalayan state Uttarakhand between August 2 and 3. Predicting occasional instances of very heavy rainfall.
Besides Uttarakhand, weather agency has also predicted intense rainfall for Madhya Pradesh & Gujarat region between August 2 and 5.
