Rewa School Disaster: Four Students Dead After Wall Collapses

A tragic incident occurred in Rewa district of Madhya Pradesh on Saturday. A school wall collapsed, resulting in the deaths of four children. Several other children were injured due to the collapse. The administration has arrived at the scene and begun relief and rescue operations. The injured have been taken to the hospital.

The incident was caused by the collapse of a wall in an old school building, which had become damp due to recent rains. This combination of moisture and structural decay resulted in the deaths of several young children and injuries to others. The area is now engulfed in panic and confusion.

The catastrophe happened when a decaying wall near a primary school came down. Several children were nearby when the wall unexpectedly collapsed on them. A total of eight children and one woman were trapped. Sadly, four children died, while the other four were safely rescued.

As soon as the incident was reported, a police administration team rushed to the spot. District Collector Pratibha Pal and SP Vivek Kumar Singh have arrived from the district headquarters. Local authorities, along with police and civilians, are engaged in relief and rescue operations. The bodies of the deceased children were pulled from the rubble, and the seriously injured children were sent to the hospital for medical care. Although four children’s deaths have been reported, official confirmation is still pending. The families are in deep sorrow, crying uncontrollably.

Sources indicate that four children have died, and 15 others are critically injured. All the injured were transported to the Community Health Center in Gangev, where doctors are providing treatment. The most severely injured children have been referred to Sanjay Gandhi Hospital in Rewa.
