In a significant development in the NEET paper leak case, a student from Bhilwara, Rajasthan, has been arrested by the CBI. The student, Sandeep Kumar, is an MBBS student from a local medical college and has been taken into custody as part of the ongoing investigation. The CBI has been granted a 5-day remand for Kumar to facilitate further questioning and investigation.

Broader Crackdown on NEET Paper Leak

This arrest is part of a broader crackdown, with the CBI having apprehended a total of 9 MBBS students so far in connection with the leak. Despite these efforts, the agency is still actively pursuing Sanjeev Mukhiya, who is alleged to be the mastermind behind the paper leak. The ongoing raid for Mukhiya’s capture continues to be a focal point of the investigation.

First Charge Sheet Filed in NEET Paper Leak Case

Meanwhile, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has filed its first charge sheet in the paper leak case, naming 13 people as accused. Among those named are Nitish Kumar, Amit Anand, Sikander Yadvendu, Ashutosh Kumar-1, Roshan Kumar, Manish Prakash, Ashutosh Kumar-2, Akhilesh Kumar, Avdesh Kumar, Anurag Yadav, Abhishek Kumar, Shivnandan Kumar, and Ayush Raj.
