Asus has introduced the ROG Ally X handheld device in the Indian market this week, powered by the AMD Z1 Extreme. Unveiled earlier at Computex 2024, this new model builds on the Asus ROG Ally with significant upgrades. It boasts a 7-inch 120Hz display and is equipped with an AMD Ryzen Z1 Extreme CPU. The Ally X addresses common criticisms of its predecessor, notably with a larger battery. It also features a sleek black design optimized for ergonomic comfort.
The Asus ROG Ally X is set to be priced at ₹89,900 in India and will be offered exclusively in black. Gamers can purchase the handheld device from the Asus ROG Store, Eshop, Flipkart, Amazon, and various offline retailers.

Asus ROG Ally X Features
The device features specifications that match its global version. It comes with a 7-inch full-HD IPS touchscreen display, offering a 120Hz refresh rate and a 7ms response time. The screen can achieve a peak brightness of 500 nits and provides 100 percent sRGB coverage. For added durability, it is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus. To combat issues such as screen tearing, the device includes AMD’s FreeSync Premium technology.
The Asus ROG Ally X weighs 678 grams and measures 28.0 x 11.1 x 2.47 cm. It is driven by the AMD Ryzen Z1 Extreme chipset featuring an 8-core Zen 4 architecture, paired with an RDNA 3 GPU. The device includes 24GB of LPDDR5X dual-channel RAM and a 1TB PCIe 4.0 NVMe M.2 SSD, which can be upgraded to 4TB. It runs on Windows 11.

The Asus ROG Ally X features a dual-speaker system with Smart Amplifier Technology and Dolby Atmos to enhance the gaming experience. It also includes a Hi-Res certified built-in array microphone with AI noise cancellation.
For connectivity, the Ally X offers four ports: a Thunderbolt 4 port with DisplayPort support, a USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C port, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a UHS-II microSD card reader. It supports Bluetooth 5.2 and Wi-Fi 6E. The device is equipped with an 80Wh 4-cell Li-ion battery, which is double the capacity of its predecessor, and can be charged at 65W via USB Type-C.
