Coming down heavily on AAP leader Manish Sisodia, following the Supreme Court’s decision to grant him bail in the excise policy case, BJP MP Bansuri Swaraj said that former Delhi Education Minister is a “sinner who pushed the children from ‘Paathshala to Madhushala’.”
The BJP MP said that Sisodia has been granted bail for the delay in the trial and he is still an accused.
“This year only, his bail plea has been rejected seven times.
Today, his advocates haven’t pleaded based on merits, their pleas were based on delay.
Manish Sisodia was in jail for 17-18 months and on that basis -delay in trial, he has been granted bail,” she said.
“He is still an accused, and his answerability is in the court of law, for betraying the people of Delhi.
Manish Sisodia was such an Education Minister of Delhi who is a sinner and who committed the sin of pushing the children of Delhi from ‘Paathshala to Madhushala’,” the BJP MP added.

Meanwhile, AAP leader Priyanka Kakkar welcomed the SC’s verdict on Manish Sisodia’s bail and said that now no one can stop him (Manish Sisodia) from changing the education system of India.
“Every worker of ours is very grateful to the Supreme Court but Manish Sisodia has been kept in jail for 17 months, without evidence, without trial, this is a travesty of justice, the Supreme Court also noted it.
We have been saying from the beginning that not even a single penny recovered. Prime Minister Modi himself has admitted that not a single penny has been recovered…Now no one can stop him (Manish Sisodia) from changing the education system of India,” she claimed.
The Supreme Court on Friday granted bail to Manish Sisodia in the excise policy irregularities cases. The order has been delivered by a bench of justices B R Gavai and K V Viswanathan.
The court also imposed various conditions including surrendering the passport and not influencing witnesses.
The top court was hearing Sisodia’s appeal challenging the Delhi High Court order that dismissed his bail plea in the cases being probed by the Central Bureau of Investigation and the Enforcement Directorate.
During the hearing, Additional Solicitor General SV Raju, appearing for the probe agencies, had raised apprehension that witnesses may be influenced.
