Blinkit Introduces 10-Minute Passport Photo Service In Delhi and Gurugram

Blinkit has launched a new service promising passport-size photos delivered within just 10 minutes for customers in Delhi and Gurugram. This innovation aims to simplify the process of obtaining essential photos for important documents and last-minute needs.

Blinkit CEO Albinder Dhindsa announced the feature on X, emphasizing its convenience for urgent photo requirements, such as visa documentation, admit cards, or rental agreements. “Starting today, Blinkit customers in Delhi and Gurugram can get passport photos delivered in 10 minutes!” Dhindsa said, also hinting at future expansions to other cities.

Here’s how the service works:

  1. Upload or Take a Photo: Customers can upload an existing image or take a new one using their phone.
  2. Automatic Processing: Blinkit’s system automatically removes the background and resizes the image to the required passport dimensions.
  3. Choose Quantity: Users can select from 8, 16, or 32 prints, delivered in a stylish envelope.

The announcement has been well-received online, with users expressing their excitement and appreciation for the new feature. One user praised Blinkit as a “lifeline of Gurgaon,” while another appreciated the practical utility of the service. Positive comments highlighted how the service has been a lifesaver in urgent situations, such as late-night visa appointments.

However, not everyone was impressed, with one playful critique suggesting the app promotes “laziness.”

Blinkit’s quick-service initiative marks a significant step in making essential services more accessible and convenient for users.
