In an ongoing Paris Olympics 2024, Day 15, India’s final competitor Reetika Hooda Falls to Aiperi Medet Kyzy in the Quarterfinal of women’s 76kg freestyle wrestling on saturday.

During the match, both the wrestlers gave importance to point prevention rather than aggressive tactics. Despite the match reaching a deadlock at 1-1, the match ended in Aiperi’s favour. As, the execution of last equalizing manoeuvre sealed match in her favour.

But, Reetika Hooda still has a shot in olympics, as she might enter repechage round, if Aiperi Medet Kyzy enters final, in this way, Hooda might get to compete for bronze.
However, if Kyzy doesn’t qualify for final, then India’s olympics campaign will end with six medals.
Earlier, the Indian Wrestler at the pre-quarterfinal with precise technical skills and great acumen defeated Hungary’s Bernadett Nagy with a score of 12-2 by technical superiority at women’s 76kg freestyle event.

As a result, Reetika qualified for Quarterfinal, where she faced top-seeder Aiperi Medet Kyzy.
