Rajya Sabha Deputy Chairman Harivansh Narayan Singh attended the launch ceremony of the book titled ’75 Great Revolutionaries of India’ by Rajya Sabha MP Bhim Singh in New Delhi on Sunday.
Speaking to ANI at the book launch, Harivansh Narayan Singh said, “Rajya Sabha MP Bhim Singh has done a creative and inspiring work. He has focused on the lesser-known and unknown heroes of history.”
Hailing MP Bhim Singh for his efforts, Singh added, “He researched and collected facts. In this effort, he has prepared three books on the heroes who sacrificed their lives for the nation. It is a beautiful work done by him.”
The Rajya Sabha Deputy Chairman noted that one draws inspiration for building a ‘Viksit Bharat’ (Developed India) from the sacrifices of these lesser-known heroes. He added, “Many historians have mentioned that we gain strength for the future from the past. When we read about such heroes, we find the strength and inspiration needed for building a ‘Viksit Bharat’ from their sacrifices.”

“Homage to all those who took part in the Quit India Movement under Bapu’s leadership. It was truly a watershed moment in our freedom struggle,” PM Modi said in a post on X.
The movement was marked by mass non-violent protests led by Mahatma Gandhi, who called for “an orderly British withdrawal from India.” Through his speeches, Gandhi inspired people by declaring that “every Indian who desires freedom and strives for it must be his own guide.” The day is observed annually as August Kranti Day.
