An employee of a popular coffee chain in Bengaluru has been arrested for allegedly placing a mobile phone with video recording capabilities in a dustbin inside a women’s washroom, police said.

The incident occurred at the Third Wave Coffee shop on BEL Road in Bengaluru on Saturday. According to the police, the accused hid his phone in the dustbin of the toilet to record a video of a woman using the washroom. The police have sent the accused’s mobile phone for forensic examination. Another woman present at the location reported the incident on her social media account, ‘Gangs of Cinepur,’ stating that the phone was hidden in the dustbin with the camera facing the toilet seat. The phone was on flight mode to avoid detection and had a hole made in the dustbin bag to expose only the camera.
