The footage also shows the bus conductor hurrying to the driver’s seat, gesturing in frustration at the driver’s failure to apply the brakes. The bus eventually came to a halt after about 10 seconds when a car, which had been dragged for several meters, blocked its path.
The impact of the crash shattered the bus’s windshield. The Bangalore Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC) is currently investigating the cause of the accident.
While some suspect brake failure, others point to possible negligence by the driver. The BMTC has yet to confirm the exact reason behind this dangerous incident, which nearly resulted in multiple fatalities.
