Following the death of Indian captain Deepak Singh at the Doda encounter during the ongoing operation Asar, the Indian Army extended its deepest condolences to the family of Captain Deepak Singh on Wednesday.

Following the death of Indian captain Deepak Singh at the Doda encounter during the ongoing operation Asar, the Indian Army extended its deepest condolences to the family of Captain Deepak Singh on Wednesday.

Taking to X, White Knight Corps said ‘All ranks of White Knight Corps salute the supreme sacrifice of Braveheart Captain Deepak Singh, who succumbed to his injuries.” They further added, “White Knight Corps offers its deepest condolences and stands firmly with the bereaved family in this hour of grief.’

Meanwhile on August 14, captain Singh of 48 Rashtriya Rifles lost his life, while leading a search party in the ongoing Operation Assar at Doda. The operation, which began on Tuesday in the Assar area, continues as the Indian Army and Jammu and Kashmir police conduct a search following the initial encounter.

Earlier on August 10, a gunfight between terrorists and security forces in Anantnag resulted in the deaths of at least two soldiers and a civilian.

The encounter, which occurred during a joint operation by the Indian Army, Jammu and Kashmir Police, and CRPF in Kokernag, led to the deaths of Havildar Dipak Kumar Yadav and Lance Naik Praveen Sharma. Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi and all ranks of the Indian Army paid tribute to them.
