As April 2024 approaches, major credit card issuers are rolling out significant updates to their credit card policies, impacting cardholders. Customers of SBI Card, ICICI Bank, Axis Bank, and Yes Bank need to pay attention to these changes to stay informed and adjust their financial plans accordingly.
SBI Credit Cards:
SBI Card is making key adjustments to its credit card rewards system. Starting April 1, 2024, the earning of reward points on rent payments will cease for select credit cards. This change affects popular cards like AURUM, SBI Card Elite, SBI Card Elite Advantage, SBI Card Pulse, and SimplyCLICK SBI Card. Additionally, reward points accumulation on rent payments for certain cards will completely stop from April 15, 2024.
Yes Bank Credit Cards:
Effective April 1, 2024, significant changes are coming to YES Bank credit cards. Cardholders who spend Rs 10,000 or more in a calendar quarter will qualify for complimentary domestic lounge access. This new policy allows spending in the previous quarter to grant lounge access in the following quarter.
ICICI Bank Credit Cards:
ICICI Bank is implementing alterations to its credit card offerings from April 1, 2024. Cardholders can now enjoy one complimentary airport lounge access by spending Rs. 35,000 in the preceding calendar quarter. Spending in the previous quarter will unlock lounge access for the subsequent quarter.
Axis Bank Credit Cards:
From April 20, 2024, Axis Bank is introducing notable changes to its credit card policies. Spending on fuel, insurance, and gold/jewelry will no longer earn basic or expedited EDGE REWARD Points. Additionally, the threshold for annual fee waiver will exclude spends on insurance, gold/jewelry, and fuel categories.
Moreover, revisions are being made to complimentary guest visits for domestic and international lounge programs. Magnus customers will now have four guest visits per calendar year, effective April 20, 2024, regardless of visits used prior to this date. Similar revisions apply to international lounge access, with Magnus customers entitled to four guest visits per card anniversary year.
