Blinkit has once again made headlines with its rapid delivery services, this time teaming up with Lenskart to offer 10-minute delivery of sunglasses and computer glasses. The partnership was announced by Blinkit CEO Albinder Dhindsa on social media, along with Lenskart CEO Peyush Bansal.
Mr Dhindsa shared the news on his social media, stating, “Blinkit customers can now get Lenskart products in 10 minutes,” adding that they would start with delivering sunglasses and their Hustlr range of computer glasses. He expressed his curiosity about the evolution of Hustlr as a brand in the future.
The announcement garnered significant attention online, with users expressing their excitement and suggestions. While some users suggested expanding the quick delivery service to medicines, others speculated about the future dominance of quick-commerce over traditional e-commerce.
Several users expressed interest in having prescription glasses delivered within 10 minutes or half an hour, emphasizing the potential of Blinkit’s quick-commerce model. Some even suggested potential acquisitions, such as PharmEasy, to expand the range of quick-delivery services.
Previously, Blinkit had announced collaborations with Atomberg to deliver energy-efficient ceiling fans in just 12 minutes. Additionally, they partnered with Sony for the rapid delivery of the newly launched PlayStation 5 Slim edition and controllers within 10 minutes to customers in Bengaluru, Delhi NCR, and Mumbai.
The PlayStation 5 Slim is priced at ₹54,990, while the PlayStation 5 Slim Digital Edition costs ₹44,990. With these innovative partnerships and rapid delivery services, Blinkit continues to redefine the standards of convenience in the e-commerce industry.
