Reliance Stake: Isha, Akash, or Anant – Who Holds the Most?

Reliance Industries Limited, under the leadership of Chairman Mukesh Ambani, stands as one of India’s foremost conglomerates. But who among his family members holds the most significant stake in this corporate giant?

The intricate web of ownership within Reliance Industries, led by Chairman Mukesh Ambani, extends to involve various members of his family, each playing distinct roles within the conglomerate.

Matriarch Kokilaben holds a significant stake in Reliance Industries, with 1,57,41,322 shares, amounting to approximately 0.24% ownership in the company. Although not directly involved in day-to-day operations, her influence and guidance remain pivotal to the family’s endeavors.

Mukesh Ambani’s three children, Akash Ambani, Isha Ambani, and Anant Ambani, also hold shares in Reliance Industries, with each possessing 80,52,021 shares, collectively representing close to a 0.12% stake in the company.

The family’s involvement in Reliance Industries is not merely limited to shareholding. In 2022, Isha Ambani assumed leadership of Reliance Retail, while Akash Ambani was appointed Chairman of Reliance Jio. Anant Ambani, on the other hand, took charge of the company’s energy vertical in August 2022.

In a recent interaction with India Today, Anant Ambani shed light on the familial dynamics, describing his relationship with his siblings. He likened his brother Akash to Lord Ram and his sister Isha to a divine mother, emphasizing the bond of protection and unity among them. Anant expressed mutual respect and admiration for his siblings, highlighting their cohesive bond and lack of competition.

As Reliance Industries continues to navigate the complexities of the business landscape, the family’s collective involvement underscores a legacy of unity, collaboration, and shared vision within the conglomerate.
