A horrifying incident in Navi Mumbai has resulted in the arrest of six individuals accused of assaulting a man suspected of stealing spices from the shop where he was employed. According to officials from the APMC police station, the distressing episode unfolded on Wednesday evening.
“The man, employed at a trading shop in APMC, was subjected to a vicious attack by Raunak Dayaljibhai Bhanushali, the proprietor of the trading firm, along with his accomplices: Sanjay Chowdhary, Lalaji Babubai Pagi, Virendra Kumar Laxman Gautam, Yogesh, and Karan,” stated the police official on Thursday.
Allegations of pilfering cardamom led to the brutal assault, during which the victim was physically assaulted, stripped, and coerced into licking the shoes of the accused Bhanushali. Shockingly, the perpetrators recorded the appalling ordeal on video, compounding the victim’s humiliation.
“The man was accused of stealing cardamom. He was beaten up, stripped, and forced to lick the shoes of the accused Bhanushali. They also videoed the incident. Further probe is underway,” the police official added.
