The Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) announced the results of the Class 10 board (Matric) exam 2024 on Sunday. Students can view their scorecards on the official website – bsebmatric.org. The examinations took place from February 15 to February 23.
Shivankar Kumar, a student from Zila School, Purnea, clinched the top position with 489 marks, while Adarsh Kumar from Samastipur secured second place. Aadiya, Suman, Palak, and Shajiya jointly held the third position.
This year, the overall pass rate increased from 81.04 percent to 82.91 percent compared to the previous year. To pass the BSEB 10th exam 2024, students must score a minimum of 33 percent in each subject.
The board announced the results through a press conference at 1.30 pm, providing details on the pass percentage of both genders and the overall pass rate. A total of 16,94,781 candidates appeared for the exam, including 8,22,587 boys and 8,72,194 girls.
Links for BSEB Class 10 scrutiny and compartment exam applications will be available from April 3 to April 9. The results of the BSEB compartment exams are expected to be announced by May 31. Further details regarding the compartment exam dates will be provided later.
This year, 4,52,302 students achieved first division, followed by 5,24,965 students securing the second division, and 3,80,732 students attaining the third division.

The student who attained the top position will be awarded with ₹1 lakh along with a laptop. Those securing the second position will be granted ₹75,000 along with a laptop, whereas the third place holders will receive ₹50,000 and a laptop.
