CTET July 2024 Registration Deadline Extended: Key Details and Paper Pattern

The Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) for the July 2024 session has extended its registration deadline to April 5, offering candidates additional time to apply for the examination. Here are the essential details and the paper pattern for the upcoming CTET:

Registration Process:

  1. Visit the official website of CTET – ctet.nic.in.
  2. Click on the link labeled “Apply online for CTET July 2024.”
  3. Fill in the required information in the application form and make a note of the registration number.
  4. Proceed to pay the examination fee and upload the necessary documents.
  5. After completing the form, submit it and download a copy for your records.

CTET July 2024 Exam Details:

  1. Date: July 7, 2024
  2. Test Centers: 136 cities nationwide
  3. Languages: Tests are offered in 20 languages.

Application Fee:

  1. General and OBC categories: ₹1,000 for a single paper, ₹1,200 for both papers.
  2. SC, ST, and differently-abled individuals: ₹500 for a single paper, ₹600 for both papers.

Exam Structure:

  1. The CTET exam consists entirely of Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) with no negative marking.
  2. Two papers: Paper 1 (for Class 1 to 5) and Paper 2 (for Class 6 to 8).
  3. Candidates wishing to teach both levels must take both Paper I and Paper II.

  5. Language II: 30 MCQs (30 Marks)

Paper II (Classes VI to VIII – Elementary Stage)

Duration: 2.5 hours

Total Questions: 150 MCQs

Total Marks: 150

  1. Child Development & Pedagogy: 30 MCQs (30 Marks)
  2. Mathematics and Science OR Social Studies/Social Science: 60 MCQs (60 Marks)
  3. Language I: 30 MCQs (30 Marks)
  4. Language II: 30 MCQs (30 Marks)

The CTET January 2024 exam witnessed over 26 lakh candidates registering for the test, indicating the significant demand and importance of the certification for aspiring teachers across the country.
