CUET PG 2024: Paper Structure and Marking Scheme

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has provided important details regarding the Common University Entrance Test (CUET-PG) 2024, including the paper structure and marking scheme. Here’s what you need to know:

Paper Structure:

  • The CUET-PG 2024 will consist of a total of 75 questions.
  • The examination duration will be 105 minutes.
  • Students can choose up to four question paper codes from a list of 157 subjects covering various domains such as BEd, MEd, Commerce, Finance, Management, Science, MTech Higher Science, among others.
  • The medium of the question paper will be English and Hindi (Bilingual) for most subjects. However, for languages, MTech Higher Sciences, and Acharya papers, specific language instructions apply.

Medium of Exam:

  • For Humanities, Sciences, and common papers, the examination will be conducted in bilingual languages (English and Hindi).
  • MTech/Higher Sciences papers will be held in English only.
  • Language papers will be conducted in the respective language, except for Linguistic, which will be in English. Acharya Papers will be held in Sanskrit language, except for specific subjects like Hindu Studies, Indian Knowledge System, and Baudha Darshan.

Marking Scheme:

  • Each question in the exam carries four marks.
  • Candidates will receive four marks for every correct answer.
  • One mark will be deducted for every incorrect answer.
  • No marks will be deducted for leaving a question un-attempted.
  • In case of multiple correct options or changes in the answer key, only candidates who have attempted it correctly as per the revised Final Answer Key will be awarded marks.
  • If a question is dropped due to technical error, full marks will be given to all candidates, regardless of whether they attempted it or not.

Registration Statistics:

  • The overall registrations for CUET-PG 2024 have slightly increased compared to the previous year, totaling 4.6 lakh registrations.
  • Female registrations outnumber male registrations, with 2,47,990 female candidates, 2,14,587 male candidates, and nine registrations under the third gender category.

These details provide valuable insights into the structure and evaluation process of CUET-PG 2024, ensuring transparency and fairness in the entrance examination process. Candidates are advised to refer to the official website for further information and updates regarding the examination.
