The National Testing Agency (NTA) is set to commence the registration process for the Common University Entrance Test Undergraduate (CUET UG) 2025 in the coming days. Aspirants seeking admission into undergraduate programs at Central Universities (CUs) and other participating institutions must apply through the official website cuet.nta.nic.in once the registration link is activated.

This year, CUET UG 2025 comes with several major changes, making the process more streamlined and student-friendly. Here’s everything you need to know about the registration process, key updates, and exam schedule.

The University Grants Commission (UGC) has introduced notable reforms to the CUET UG exam pattern for 2025. The key modifications include:

Fully Computer-Based Exam: Unlike previous years’ hybrid model, CUET UG 2025 will be conducted entirely in a Computer-Based Test (CBT) format.

Reduced Number of Subjects: The number of subject options has been reduced from 63 to 37. Admissions for discontinued subjects will now rely on the General Aptitude Test (GAT) scores.

Fixed Exam Duration: Each subject test will now have a fixed duration of 60 minutes, ensuring uniformity in the assessment process.

New Question Paper Format: Every exam will have 50 compulsory questions—removing the previous option to skip or select among different questions.

More Flexibility in Subject Choices: Candidates can now opt for subjects they did not study in Class 12, allowing greater interdisciplinary learning opportunities.
