IIT Delhi is inviting applications for its Undergraduate Summer Research Fellowship Programme 2024, offering an enriching opportunity for students to engage in research activities. The programme, spanning eight to 12 weeks from May 14 to July 12, aims to provide a platform for talented undergraduates to explore research opportunities in diverse fields.
Eligibility Criteria and Application Process Open to students enrolled in various engineering institutes, excluding IITs, in India or abroad, who have completed a minimum of two years of study and rank within the top 10 in their respective programmes or branches, the fellowship programme promises a rewarding experience. Interested candidates can apply by visiting the official website and submitting their applications before the deadline on March 20, 5 pm.
Programme Benefits and Administrative Details Selected candidates will receive travel expenses within the country, limited to train-sleeper classes, to and from IIT Delhi, along with accommodation and meals provided on the institute campus throughout the fellowship period. Additionally, a weekly stipend of ₹ 500 will be granted to support their participation in the programme. Notably, selected students will be registered as visiting scholars at IIT Delhi without any registration fees. However, they will be required to cover personal insurance charges for the duration of their stay, ensuring their safety and well-being during their research tenure.
Application Requirements Applicants must upload a no-objection certificate (in PDF format) from their parent institution, specifying the start and end dates for conducting full-time research at IIT Delhi under the fellowship programme.
