In a significant development, the Supreme Court will hear a petition tomorrow seeking the cancellation of the NEET-UG 2024 exam over allegations of a paper leak. A vacation bench comprising Justices Vikram Nath and Sandeep Mehta will preside over the matter.
With increasing demands for the annulment of the NEET 2024 results, the National Testing Agency (NTA) of the Education Ministry held a press conference on Saturday to address the situation. They discussed concerns over an unusually high number of candidates scoring top marks and securing top ranks.

The Director General of the NTA announced that a four-member high-power committee is currently investigating the matter, which involves about 1,600 candidates from six different centres. The decision on further actions, including a possible re-examination, will be based on the committee’s findings.
The controversy, fueled by the NEET-UG results released on June 4, has caused unrest among medical aspirants and the public. Many are calling for the exam to be cancelled and for a re-test to be conducted to maintain fairness and integrity in the process.
