The National Testing Agency (NTA) has responded to numerous requests from applicants and decided to reopen the registration window for the National Eligibility-Cum Entrance Test (NEET-UG) 2024 examination.
NTA, authorized by the Union Council of Ministers to conduct entrance examinations for educational institutions, announced the reopening of the registration window through a press release issued on Monday.
“The National Testing Agency will conduct the National Eligibility-cum Entrance Test (NEET – UG 2024) on May 5 from 2 pm to 5 pm throughout the country and 14 cities outside India in pen and paper (offline) mode,” stated the NTA.
Citing the influx of requests for re-opening registration, the agency decided to accommodate these appeals by extending the registration period.
As per the revised dates, registration for NEET (UG) 2024 can be completed on April 9-10 until 10:50 pm, with the last date for online fee submission set for April 10 until 11:50 pm.
NTA also guided acceptable forms of identification for online submission, including Aadhar card, Digi Locker, ABC ID, passport, Pan card, school ID, or any valid government identity card with a photograph.
However, the agency emphasized that this reopening of the registration window is a one-time opportunity, urging candidates to utilize it judiciously as no further chances will be granted for applying to NEET (UG) – 2024.
Candidates are advised to take note of this stipulation and proceed to fill out the application form accordingly, as per the statement released by the NTA.
